I never thought I'd see the day when a Malawian artist would perform in Vancouver! Well, stranger things have happened! I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening despite all the pushing and shoving. Esau Mwamwanya is a great musician and I hope he makes it big some day!
I cringed when I saw the cheesy palm trees! Nice African cloth though!
Esau Mwamwanya (wearing the cap) with his fans. What a gracious man. "Zikomo kwambiri" for a fantastic evening!

Vancouver Whitecaps v. Montreal Impact - May 15 2010
Thanks for the tickets, Takashi! It was my first time actually going to a soccer game, even though I'm a big fan. It was a little weird at first not hearing commentary or seeing replays but I had a great time!
Edmonton 2010
Flew in to Edmonton for the Easter long weekend to visit my friends and her family. I was a bit worried about the weather as I'm allergic to the cold but it actually wasn't bad!
We went on a long drive to Elk Island Provincial Park.
The lakes were still frozen.
Miss you, Abel!!! xxxx
Raphael Saadiq & India Arie
Fantastic concert! This was an early birthday present (thanks Kelvin!). I only knew one of the songs that Raphael sang but he's so energetic and his music has an old-school feel, which I love!
Miss India! Wow, this is one of the few artists I know who sound better live! She has got to have the best voice I've ever heard! It was so cute when she forgot the lyrics to a couple of her songs. Props to her mum for making her such beautiful clothes!

Carrot Halva
This is the yummiest dessert ever! I'm not a big fan of carrots but this is so creamy I forget I'm eating carrots. It's really time-consuming to make so it's not something I make often
